Josh Lee
Founder & CEO
As a clearance diver in the Royal Australian Navy, Josh Lee excels in decision-making and thrives under pressure. His experience underscores collaboration and problem-solving as essential for mission success. As the founder of Nautic Technologies, he focuses on enhancing diving safety and technology through innovative leadership and adaptability.

Robert Lee
Operations Manager
With a background in operations management, Robert Lee is adept at workflow optimisation and resource allocation. He effectively manages technical projects to align with business objectives, coordinating complex systems to enhance performance and productivity.

Max Keller
Lead Engineer
Max combines deep academic expertise with hands-on engineering experience and a passion for tackling real-world technical challenges. With a recent Master's in Robotics Engineering (awarded with excellence), Max has a passion for control systems and turning complex theory into robust, real-world applications.
Max also brings extensive prototyping experience from his five years coaching startups at UNSW Founders, alongside university-level teaching in robotic systems, programming, and mechanical design.
As an avid scuba diver and spear fisherman himself, Max has a vested interest to modernise diving and save lives underwater.

Erik Nielsen
Mechanical Engineer
Erik brings experience from Formula 1 design engineering into the development of advanced underwater safety systems. His background spans from working on a championship winning solar car during university, through hands-on machining and quality control roles, to design engineering at the Red Bull Formula 1 team.
Erik is driven by challenging engineering problems and environments where performance, precision and sound fundamentals matter. At Nautic Technologies, he applies this mindset to designing robust and reliable mechanical systems for underwater operations.

Angus McIntyre
Electronics Engineer
With qualifications in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, Angus brings a multidisciplinary approach to solving complex technical challenges. His industry experience spans subsea robotics and the prototype development of medical devices, where he has worked across the full engineering lifecycle — from early-stage design and validation through to test engineering and production support.
Comfortable operating at the intersection of hardware, systems, and real-world constraints, he focuses on building reliable, high-performance solutions that transition smoothly from concept to deployment.
Passionate about developing both technology and people, Angus also dedicates time to mentoring high-school robotics, fostering practical engineering skills and problem-solving in the next generation of innovators.

Steve Winnall
Strategy and Growth Advisor
Steve is passionate about building and growing businesses with world-changing products. His expertise with startups and growth is applied with energy to deliver Nautic's mission.
His experience in teams that build and commercialise ground-breaking products from early stage to global growth will fast-track Nautic Technologies success.
Steve's background in surf rescue has enabled him to see first hand when things go wrong on and in the water. Nautic Technologies gets you back safely - this is what drives Steve to contribute to such a ground breaking business.

Hunter Riddle
Software Developer
Hunter leverages five years of software engineering experience from the medical sector to design complex, mission-critical solutions.
Specialising in full stack development, he focuses on architecting robust and stable systems that scale. He draws on his previous leadership tenure to ensure uncompromising system quality and integrity.
As a passionate surfer, Hunter feels at home in the water and is driven to build technology that revolutionises safety in our oceans.
